My Heart Goes Out to You
Shirley,
I am so sorry to hear of Lee's passing. You both lived life to the fullest in spite of his condition, and were an inspiration to us all. You helped me not give up and "live" with cancer. Please know you have been and will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

Shirley,
Your journey has
Shirley,
Your journey has touched so many, and personally it is because of your posts that I have been able to pick up the pieces when I thought all was lost. Lee's story has opened my heart to a life with cancer. Thank you for your dedication, and your selflessness. You and Lee are in my thoughts and prayers. May you find strength to help you through this difficult time. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do for you!

Though right now I am extremely tired and grieving for my beloved, life will go on with or without me. I have a great bunch of kids that have stepped up and are helping me through the hardest of times. I will continue to encourage CSN members to NEVER give up and despair over a cancer diagnosis. Even though Lee lost his battle with this terrible disease, I do believe the right attitude added many months to his life. And all of you who are survivors, remember; live every day as if it were your last day and make it a good one.0 -

Dear Shirley,
I have been following you and Lee since the start. So so sorry to hear that Lee lost his fight. What a brave fighter he was with this terrible disease! What a strong caregiver and wife you were to him and right by his side through it all. You're an amazing person. He is now with my Mom and all the other angels. Thinking of you at this sad time.0 -

Shirley,
I too have not been on this site for a while. We wives who fought right along side our husbands and are left along now have to continue to show our strenghth as we travel the rest of this journey without them. I am so sorry for you and I thank you for your encouragement through these past months. Unfortunately, we now share this too.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I love that Psalm, 34:18 “The Lord is near to the broken-hearted, and saves the crushed in spirit.”0
