"Pink Bus Party People Do An Outstanding Job Of Rooting For Robert!

At 3:30pm today "the Pink Bus" pulled up at Carolina East Oncology Center in Pollocksville,NC. There were people yelling out the windows, blowing horns and I think there might have been some drinking going on in there,too! There were banners,confetti and silly string flying everywhere. They spilled out into the parking lot laughting,talking loudly and cheering for Robert. They made such a disturbance that the nurse could not hear my pump alarm for my Zometa infussion going off. Joe & I were finally able to "round them up" and stuff them back into the bus,but I had to "promise" to let them come back again for my other treatments and scans. Even the "trouble makers";like Traci, Frankie, Linda, Sue, Nancy, Terry, VickySam and Jennifer; none of whom I will mention by name. HAHAHAAAAA!!!!


My bone scan showed no new "holes or bumps" to my bones, my CT scan showed no problems with my liver or other organs and the chest x-ray showed no new growth of the three little spots in my left lung. All my blood work came back "good" also. Dr.Bonnie Goodwin said they were the lowest "markers" (27) she has ever seen. I guess I'm still her "favorite" boring patient! Yea 4 me!!!

    Boring is such a good word when one has metastatic disease.

    What a rowdy bunch, indeed! It's going to take this old lady some time to recover from this afternoon.

    Excellent work, Robert!
    I'd like to think our general all-around manliness was enough to keep the ladies in line. But I have to confess that I sprayed Essence of Chocolate all around the bus before we took off for your appointment. It kinda calmed them down a little bit.

    So if that's what it takes to keep you down here with us, where you belong, well... see you next trip!

    Well of course we had to have a drink,it's a long trip from Washington State but worth it to here you got good news.It's no fun to not be a trouble maker lol.

    What Lynn ISN'T saying...
    Lynn may not have drunk or smoked...but that was her leading the conga line through the parking lot (thank goodness the building security guard is a Miami Sound Machine fan, or we could never have got away with that.).

    I have pictures, Lynn -- don't try to deny it!
