No, the only pain medicine I have been given is Hydrocodone. When I had my neck dissection, the doctor cut through some of the nerves on the right side of my face, and I still have phantmo tooth aches, and my chin is still numb. But at least I am still around to complain about the pain, so I guess that is a good thing.

    Neurontin or Gabbapentin
Worked good for me - only used it for about 3 months. Stopped the stabbing pains.

    Hi Steve
I use Lyrica and have a lot less side effects; it has been a miracle drug for me in dealing with nerve pain.

    Thanks for your input

    Neurontin
Andy has had arescription for a long time and has just recently felt the need to take all three doses a day. He doesn't have nerve pain but has neuropathy in his fingers and toes. The neuron tin does help. Also helpful is using a golf ball to roll in your hands and under your toes...

    Lyrica
    Hondo,

How long does it take for the Lyrica to start working? I was on it for a just over a week and stopped because of the side effects. After stopping I realized it wasn't the cause of the side effects and now I want to go back on it.

If you say it worked for you, then I want to give it a try. Nothing yet has worked.

    Thanks,

    Tommy

Thanks Tim for the info. For now I am going to wait and keep doing the exercises my surgeon told me to do. He says if I keep doing them the pain will go away. If it doesn't, I'll contact you.

    Thanks Again,

    Tommy
