    Hi Phoebe,

Thanks for thinking of me. I finished the 3rd week on Friday, 2 1/2 more weeks to go. The bladder spasms arent as severe but still have to urinate every 45 minutes or so, which is a pain during the night. Diarrhea has me taking immodium a couple times per day but thats not so bad. Overall I am hanging in there. My counts did not drop out and have had no issue with nausea, so think I am fairly lucky.

I am now on short term disability. This has allowed me to nap when ever I need to which is great. I am marking off the days until its all finished! I will get through this!

How are you Phoebe? How is the physical therapy going for you? I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

    Rds I am glad u r getting
Rds I am glad u r getting thru it.

My husbands mother passed yesterday. She had a five year fight with colon cancer. She won most of her battles even up to the end. Finally her heart stopped. She was 90 and a half. We r overwhelmed with our loss.

I have been diagnosed with ataxia. I will be going for genetic testing soon.

Remember to listen to the birds sing and dance when u can even if it hurts because it really hurts when u can't.

I am so sorry for your loss. I know there is no way to ever prepare for the loss of someone you love. I lost both my parents 6 months apart in 2007, both from cancer. The pain was almost unbearable. I realize now that sometimes you just hurt until you dont hurt anymore and in doing so they live on through you. I know there is nothing anyone can say that can ease the pain you both are feeling. I will pray that God sends comfort and strength to you both.

This experience with cancer has opened my eyes. I find myself noticing things that have always been around me that I didnt take time to pay attention to before, especially now as springs is moving in and everything is teeming with life. I promise you I will take your advice and today I will dance not just for me but for you too.

Please keep me updated. As always youre in my thoughts and prayers.

    Phoebe,

So sorry to hear about your loss. Words are never enough. I too lost my Mom this past December, from cancer. She was a seventeen year survivor of breast cancer and then was diagnosed with acute untreatable leukemia the first week in December. I am greatful that she didn't have to suffer.

This week I celebrated my one year anniversary for the end of treatment. As Randy said, spring is the perfect time to take notice of the little things and celebrate each of them. So for this Spring I celebrate each and everyone that has been through or is going through this treatment. Spring blessings to all!
