Jr. got his results of the PET scan. I do not know all the details but from the phone call from mom the small spots that were on his lungs are gone completely. No signs of cancer anywhere else in his body. The oncologist and nurses were actually elated themselves. So I'm not sure if they will continue with the treatment regimen as it is now or change it.
Thank you all for your prayers!

This is the latest from Kathy (Jr.'s wife):
Pray for ray, well we got the results,,wow the power of Prayer ain't it..they do Not see the cancer in the lungs, the lymph nodes have shrunk,,,and the tumor in his esophagus has shrunk a tiny bit..the doc is very pleased and of course we Thank the Lord for this.keep praying.

My brother (Ray Jr.) was diagnosed August (2010) at the age of 51 with esophageal cancer of cardio-esophageal junction stage 4 inoperable.
His initial diagnosis was T3 N1 MO but then he was diagnosed stage 4 because it was in the lymph nodes and was in the peritoneal cavity,,therefore they said it metastasized.

Jr. has only been on chemo. no radiation. It has been very hard on him, there were many times I didn't think he was going to make it but he is one tough guy.
He has fought the effects of the chemo many times without medications, it is not easy on him but some of the effects of the meds are even worse than the chemo and if he can tough it out without taking anything then he does.
For some reason God is keeping Jr. here. I do believe there is a purpose in all we go through.
He was given only a few months to live.
It has been 19 months since diagnosis!!

I am going for treatment consultation tomorrow with my oncologist for t3n1 esophageal gastrojnction cancer and it gives me even more faith that there is a bright and warm light at the end of this tunnel. Many blessings and continued recovery prayers.
