We have entered the final stretch of our journey together in this life. Eric has become unaware of his surroundings and "why" he is here or "what" he is to do next. He does not want to sleep, but his body is tired and winning that argument. We have had nine months today since his diagnosis. He is resting very peacefully and is absolutely painfree. When awake he is very disoriented and confused, and has asked for me to stay by his side at all times. As I sit here next to him, he is sleeping very peacefully and is comfortable. I feel very saddened that we are on such limited time. Please send possitive energy and prayers that this process remains as peaceful as it is in this moment.
Sadly,
Paul Adams

Michelle and Eric
Michelle,
I am so sorry to hear that Eric's brave journey appears to be reaching an end. But I am happy that he has you by his side during this final stage of the journey.
Eric,
I so admire your strength; to take on this disease under your terms. You have shown us how to live with cancer with dignity and courage.
May God wrap you both in his loving arms and provide comfort and peace during this time.
With great sadness...

Eric , You have always been
Eric , You have always been so enthusiastic. I admire the dignity you have shown us all. You will be so missed.
Michelle, I know your heart is very heavy, but you have shown so much courage the last nine months. Praying for you and family as you share these cherished moments with Eric.

I admire you both, Eric & Michelle
Eric,
Thank you for showing me an enthusiasm for life. I look at the day differently since "meeting" you. I appreciate your SPIRIT and ZEST for each day. I wish you peace.
Michelle,
Thank you for being a caregiver role model. I've learned much from you. Hold Eric's hand and stroke his face every chance you get. For me, those are two of the most intimate touches.
Hoping that Eric remains painfree and comfortable. Thinking of you both!
With much love and hugs,

Deeply saddened
to hear this. I lost my brother in law to esoph cancer in 2010. I sometimes visit here to check on everyone. I am somewhat familiar with Eric's story. I could tell from his posts that he is a very special person. Brave, strong, caring, passionate. He and Michelle are blessed to have ea. other. I am so glad he is pain free. The pain, in my opinion, is the worst. And it's so unnecessary. Keeping Eric and Michelle in my thoughts and prayers.0 -
I'm so sorry to hear of
I'm so sorry to hear of Eric's condition. I only have been on the board a short while but Eric seemed like an encouragement and inspiration to everyone here. May both you and Eric have peace and comfort going through this journey. God bless.

Good People
Eric and Michelle. You are good people who we all admire so much. My heart is with both of you on this final road. Many of us have been where you are now Michell and I do not envy you. BUT you have both faced this beast head on and I have nothing but admiration for both of you. May God always hold you both in the palm of his hand.
You will be missed Eric for your strength and determination to fight with dignity.
Much love
