Helpless
Two years ago my dad passed away from a heart attack which was 2 days before my mom's 60th birthday. It was also the same day as my mother inlaws birthday. Well 9 months later my mother inlaw passed away from a heart attack as well. Now on 2-21-12 we found out that my mom has uterine and ovarian cancer that has spread to the pelvic area. I feel so helpless for starters I'm a RN and I never even seen this comming. My dad went quickly, my mother inlaw lasted for about 10 days and my mom has been in the hospital over a month fighting for her life. She had complications after her surgery, and was placed on a vent. She has made an 180, but we still have a ways to go. Now we have to do physical therapy and build her up before we can even talk about starting chemo therapy. As a nurse I already knew what stage she was in and the text book survival rates. But as long as the doctors don't verbalize it to me I am coping. I am really struggeling watching my mom being so sick, in pain and nauseated and its nothing that I can do but pray. I pray that God wont take away my mom. To have three major losses in a row is unbearable. I'm really trying to do my best to stay strong, but its hard. I know that God gives us what we need; which isn't always what we may want. But I need and want my mom to live and not to suffer in the process.
Thakns for listening well reading!
Sincerely
Babyg1rl

So sorry
Babygirl,
You and your family have been through so much. I'm so sorry for your losses. And glad your mom is making a turn around. She is young!!
If they have not already done so, I recommend that she have her cancerous tissue sent for tissue assay. This will help determine best treatment when she is ready for it.
I have also used alternative therapies - including Tong Ren. Check it out at tongrenstation.com This may help your mother.
Hang in there. There is amazing power in prayer and you have mine. God bless, Mary Ann0 -

Dear BabyGirl,
Things are really hard and since this is your profession sometimes too much knowledge only makes it worse.
1. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. You are useless to your mom if you are not 100%. Talk to a therapist or religious clergy about all of your losses. Get plenty of rest, eat well, exercise, BREATHE. And, laugh and have fun.
Your mom will slowly get to wherever she is going and you will help her do it. Come here and to the support discussion board any time you need to vent.

So sorry
Babyg1rl,
I'm so sorry for what you are going through, but please make time to care for yourself. Cancer affects us on all levels - physically, emotionally, spiritually - and I hate this disease. But this is an awesome place to come for support, encouragement, and information, so know that you are NOT traveling down this path alone.
Hugs to you (((( Babyg1rl))))

Let's pray together
Babyg1rl,
I am sorry for what you are going through and we never can see fully what's on the horizon and truly we don't always understand. When I'm going through tough times I am more prayerful than usual and really depend on God to bring me through. So, I hope you just recite this prayer and it begin to move this moutain in your life and the lives of your mom and family members. God we pray in your son Jesus name that you will strengthen this entire family right now from the least of them to the greatest of them. Guide their troubled hearts and give them a peace that surpasses all understanding as they battle through this trying time. I pray especially for babyg1rl's mother that you would touch her body-everywhere she hurts and make her whole again. We know that with you all things are possible! and Father God as she recovers the family will know that it is by your divine power working through the doctors and medicines on their behalf, In jesus name, Amen.
I hope this prayer helps you, your mom and your family. I'm a nurse too so I know what you are going through because you know medically what she's up against but also know and don't doubt God.
Prayerfully
