I've had the tops of 6 teeth "rebuilt" with some kinda whitish stuff that does a good job. Seems like it costs me in the neighborhood of $150/tooth, but my Dentist is kinda expensive. Started with 5 Crowns and a Bridge, and missing only three teeth, and have had one more Crown since the end of tx in 4/09. I've lost the tops on all my teeth to varying degrees, but the 6 teeth are all in or near the front. He does a small amount of grinding and etching, then packs the stuff on and cures it with an electric-like thing, then I wait a couple hours before eating, and it's worked really well. Not sure what they call it, but it's worth every penny of it to me, as it seems to have stopped the loss of tooth surface.

That is exactly waht I was thinking about. I think that procedure is called bonding and I can get that or the veneer. Bonding is much less expensive and $150 is not far off the quote I was given. Veneer in Mexico is $3000.00 for all teeth vs $15,000 here in Alabama. I need to find out the differences. I'm glad to know someone had it without problems. I was worried I would have something done and then it would fall out for some reason.
I have to get something because the tops of my teeth look like #$^$%# and my grand daughter (six years old) told me they looked ugly...."out of the mouths of babes comes the truth" :>)
Thanks Kent.

Thank you Kent, I'm keeping a file of conversations about dealing with teeth issues. Mine are hanging in, but it seems like a lot of people have issues as years pass. "Bonding" sounds like an affordable solution, I wouldn't be able to afford veneers, even in Mexico.

After being out of treatment for almost 3 years, I've had no teeth problems, but I'm expecting all heck to break loose any month now. I go to the Dentist every four months, and she keeps telling me that all looks good. I'm really making an effort to keep them that way.

I was at least 10 years post treatment before I started to notice problems. I don't know if it is from dry mouth or radiation but the problem is there regardless.
