Spring is sprung...at least according to the calender.

Been awhile since I have posted...for good reasons. I am sure gaining my strength back quickly and have been back at work pretty steady.

I have been watching from the shadows and am touched by everyone's truly compassionate reaction to Delnatives passing. So genuine...CSN is such a great place.

Also I am amazed to watch Pat go through his third treatment and be able to still be here for everyone...and others for him.

Dont know what I am trying to say, I guess that I am astounded and grateful for the resources and support the CSN board offers.

A update for me

I was diagnosed with stage three NPC in June of 2011

Had 35 rads and 5 doses of concurrent cisplatin

I had my last treatment 11-11-11

They removed my tube a month ago

I am holding my weight at two hundred pounds I was two thirty five.

I finally made it all the way through a cardio kick boxing class at the gym!lol

Had three scopes all NED... Doctor professes amazement at how well the large tumor cleared up.Will talk about a PET scan on Weds.

Haven't seen Roger the Canadian registered nurse in awhile...hope your doing well.

    I'd say
your kickboxing success indicates you are doing pretty well. To achieve his amount of reconditioning this quickly after treatment is great. This is important stuff.

I started a physical fitness program right before finishing rads this time. Weights, walking and tai chi. It is going to take awhile, but I'll get there. Just not as quickly as you have.

    Best,

    Pat

I am 43 years old and
I am 43 years old and enjoyed ribbing myself because for the first month all i could handle was the senior arthritis aqua class.I am grateful...I was in really good shape before I stated me treatment path. Those classes in the pool was outstanding cause I could get my heart pumping and not have to jar all my joints....really helped me to get to this stage.I can feel my strength returning every day.

I hope your recovery is coming along well Pat...not like you haven't had a bunch of practice at it before.lol

My secret recovery sauce was whey protein, whole milk and two shots of espresso. When i started hitting that i really started feeling better.

    Kyle,
sounds like you are rebounding nicely. some of us are luckier than others in our coming back to a new normal...some have more issues.
I have heard from Roger on Facebook and will tell him you asked of him!
