Ink
After much deliberation I decided to go with screw cancer.
New parlor in the town I live in and both artists are young and very cool. I sort of knew Joe thru the lady I cater for part time. I told him I just wanted words. He drew up a sketch of what he thought would be cool and I agreed.
I have posted it on my photos. It was just done on Wednesday so still has a tad bit of healing to do.
I chose my left side as my cancer was on the left and also chose my shoulder on the back as it is behind me!

"That Sucking Sound . . . Is Cancer" Ross Perot
Hi Nancy, glad you decided on a graphic. Looks perfect. I watch Ink Masters. I'm tired of the regular "last person standing" types reality shows since I've seen all the character types by now, but the new ones like the guys who score on the abandoned storage units and Ink Masters are more fun. And Ink Masters has some absolute artists on it.
Screw Cancer, indeed, right through the brain pan.

the debate is whether
it needs HBO to properly heal. Screw cancer, indeed. Thanks for sharing. The sentiment is truly universal.

Ya know the little tattoo dot they put so that the radiation beams line up correctly? I have thought about getting one in the center of my chest to match Andy's and this really motivates me!0 -

TAT...
We discussed this topic a few years ago now...
There was a lot of discussions on the Phoenix, or some version....
I plan on getting another, I have one from back in my service days....
I do like some of the tribal types, anther one that I like really well is the one linked here, although the color is off for H&N.

Nancy,
Love your Tat. John (firspotpe) graciously let me borrow his design, except mine is on my forearm. Got it on my 1-year mark (post tx). Coming up on 2 years....hmmm, another maybe?

I actually have about 5 tattoo's and have always planned on getting more, my friend is a tattoo artist and it is really easy for me to get them, just drive to his house, get tattoo's and party.
I have read about not healing after chemo and radiation. what is a good time frame after treatment has stopped, to get ink done. I would hate to have some work done only for it to not heal well and get infected of just deal with a elogated healing time because I got the tattoo to early.
thanks

I am a year and 3 months out from my treatments. I guess I should have asked my ENT or one of the other docs if it was ok but I knew my blood levels were normal and had been for some time. I did have a tad bit of trepidation going in that what if I bled too much but realized that shaving my legs, if I had a nick, it didn't bleed alot anymore...
So I jumped and have to say that 5 days later my tattoo is healing nicely. Very little scabbing.
But maybe asking would be a good idea?0 -
Screw Cancer, those are
Screw Cancer, those are fightin words, and I do believe that we are all fighters, so it is a sentiment that we all feel at one level or another, I certainly do! It is a great statement/sentiment, artful, pointed illustration indeed!
