My 67 year old mom was diagnose with stage 4 kidney cancer yesterday.Unfortunately it has all readily spread to her boned ans traces in the lungs.
They say the mass is about 12 1/2cm. Previous to the news my mom was in no discomfort. Monday she goes in to remove the mass and the main source. From there the oncologist will let us know what our options for treatment is. I hope my mom can get thru this and stay strong.
She is a lady with hope.

Hope...
Mombabes,
There is hope and there are treatment options available today that did not exist a few short years ago. Your mom sounds like a fighter. The surgery and recovery are not fun, but she will come through it just fine, the love and support of family like you make it much easier. You can find many inspirational stories here from people forced to continue the fight through a wide variety of drugs and clinical trials. When she is up to it I would encourage you to introduce her to this site where she can connect with people of similar circumstance. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Good luck and Godspeed,

Hi
Hi Mombabes,
Gary has given you great advice, so I don't have much to add in that regard, but you and your Mom will be in my prayers. As Gary said, I think it would be great if she could join us here and get support from other's who have been through it. I will be thinking of you both.
Blessings,
