What items make you feel better?

Hi, I'm a cancer survivor who is working to help other patients/survivors.

Thinking about your treatments and side effects, physically, mentally, etc.

What type of items could someone give you to help make you more comfortable.

Example: I had dry mouth and nausea - fruit flavored hard candy helped. Reading helped me pass the time during chemo and transfusions.

Your feedback is appreciated. No idea is too small to list.

Yes, someone a while back put together an amazing list of ALL the creature comforts for H&N patients. Let us know if you find it on the superthread. It was pretty darn thorough! I bet all of our medicine cabinets, bedside tables, and kitchen counters look alike!!!

Magic Mineral Broth, Rebecca Katz--you can type it in the search bar and the recipe is online. I believe that Sweet put it in the superthread also. Aroma while it is cooking stimulates appetite and it goes down like silk.

Time outside always helped. Even just sitting on a bench in the park across from the treatment center in the sun was therapeutic. A nice walk on the beach could brighten any day.
