Progressed
Denise,
I do not know for sure of how the Dr. said that it progressed, but from what I am assuming it means the Lymphoma has maybe gotten a little more than before. It is best to find out exactly what they are saying. If it has gotten worse there are other treatment plans they can follow. Please keep us informed as to what is going on. You will be OK. John0 -

Denise,
Try not to be scared. I know it is difficult not be. I am sure I would be too,but there are organizations out there that can and will assist you if it comes to a Bone Marrow Transplant. I do not know the names of these organizations, but there are people on here that do. They will chime in soon. The board has been kind of quiet lately, but there are people on here that check everyday to try to return the advice and help like they needed when they were first diagnosed. We are here for you and to help the best way we know how. John0 -

Take each day at a time. Don't worry about what might happen tomorrow. I know this is so difficult, but call your Dr and have them answer all your questions. If you had to have a bone marrow transplant you would be cared for. That is what the Social worker in the hospital arranges. Take care and God Bless. Remember you can do all things calling on God's strength. Love Joanie0 -
Denise..
Hi Denise,
I assume now with you having to do surgery and your doctor talking of a bone marrow transplant, this means the Bendamustin/Rituxan combo is no longer an option for you? I'm so sorry your tumors have progressed and you have so much facing you. Being scared is totally understandable and I'm sure I would feel the same way if this was happening to me. The others are right...you will be taken care of if your doctor decides to do the SCT. Be straight forward with your doctor about needing aftercare and ask for help from the Social Worker on staff at your clinic. They will have all of this in place for you before they would even do the procedure. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers, as I do with everyone, and remember you are not alone with this...we are here for you....always! Keep us informed and try as best as possible to take each day one at a time...worrying about tomorrow takes away from the good parts of today...does that make sense? Anyways sweetie...you will come through this! Keep the faith. Love you...Sue

Dear Denise,
If you can, please slow down your thoughts and worries. One day at a time. Everyone
that responded to your post is correct. Aren't they wonderful? When I think I have
all the information I will ever need, along comes someone with another important
fact I never knew about.
Most important, see the social worker at the clinic or hospital. Contact www.lls.org, and
www.csn.org. Have you called your insurance company to find out if you are entitled to
any help? Are there any neighbors that can stop by to check on you? Since you have
3 weeks until surgery, try and stock up on whatever you might need. Including medical
supplies.
Take care of yourself and try to raise your spirits. Your mental well being is so very
important. I don't want to make light on your newest development. It is very normal
to be scared.
All my love and prayers to you. Love Maggie0
