Stiffness 6 months after surgery

Hi all,
It's my first time posting but I have been reading the posts regularly and it really helps to know others are out there dealing with the same things I have to dealing with.
Here's the story, I'm 31y/o male and I had a partial laproscopic right nephrectomy on Sept 1,2011. I had a 5.5cm hilar renal cell carcinoma. Dr. says he got it all, negative margins and he says my prognosis is excellent; he gave me a 2% "chance" of possible re-occurrence. My follow-up schedule is chest x-rays and abdominal ultrasounds every year (I requested every 6 months and he agreed). My question is this, does the follow-up schedule sound reasonable? Also, even though I'm 6 months post-op my upper right abdomen is quite stiff and twitches regularly. Ultimately it isn't painful but the sensation is quite noticeable and brings me a lot of anxiety. Has anyone else experienced this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Shawe,
It is norma; to feel various aches and pains after surgery. Your particular pain escapes me. Check with your Doctor to make sure. Probably nothing, but err on the side of caution.

Thanks Iceman, I've seen numerous posts and your advice goes a long way. Going to the Dr. today for a 6 months checkup....fingers crossed!0
