I lost my mother on Friday to colon cancer. She was just diagnosed January 1st 2012. Everything happened so fast, it was shock after shock. Just feeling lost on how to deal with the loss of my best friend. I have a great support system, my husband, my dad, brother and sisters, friends. Everything just seems so unreal.

my deepest sympathies
My mom passed away from Thyroid Cancer on December 14, 2011, although my mom had been sick for 3 years, it still came as a shock to me when she passed away and I was there to be with her for her last breath. It is a little over 2 months, and now that the shock has worn off, I am just deeply sad. I as well have a good support system, and I am sorry I am no help but honestly, it has not gotten better for me, it is getting worse as time goes by - the void cannot be filled and I just miss her so much. I am glad you have a strong support system as well and can only say that I've been told in time, we learn to tolerate the loss but the sadness really doesn't go away.0
