    Hi Craig
You probably don't know me, but I do visit the Colorectal board a lot and read the posts and keep up with things. That was the first board I went to after I finished treatment. Then Joanne started this board for those of us who battled anal cancer.

Anyway, I just read your post to Sue and had to say that there is no way you will fail whether your book is published or not. Of course I'm praying that it will be because I know you have put so much into it. But after all you have been through and the beautiful gift of your book - that my friend is success without any flavor or failure associated with it.

You won't let anyone down, how could you? You put your heart into the book and finshed it! And with so much going on in your life. Dear Craig you are incredible.

Just needed to tell you that.

    Hugs,
    Liz

    Liz:)
I never forget a face, LOL!

Of course, I remember you and several others here on this board.

I'll tell you what, "I just needed to hear that."

    :)

I appreciate your response and confidence in me. It means the world to me, actually. Your post is warm and heartfelt and the timing is just right. If anything breaks on the book, perhaps I'll crash over here and let you guys know.

Thank you, Liz, for this beautiful post...and best wishes to all of the folks on this board...I drop in from time to time to see how it's going. A sobering reminder to me that cancer is cancer, plain and simple.

In my mind, anal, rectal, or colon - we are all "joined at the hip" and I wish nothing but the best for you guys. Your struggles remind me clearly that we're all wearing the same uniforms, despite the anatomical differences and approaches to our treatments.

Thanks for such a heartfelt response and for taking the time to write to me.

    Hi Craig!
It's good of you to drop in on us and see how the anal cancer crowd is doing. That's so awesome that you have written a book and I wish you roaring success with it! You are quite an inspiration to me--you are a warrior with a kind heart. I wish you nothing but the very best!

    Hi Martha:)
Ha, didn't think I would remember you, huh?

    LOL!

Yep, I like to see how you are all doin'....I've got some friends over here (you included) and so I try and keep up where I can.

Thank you for your support on my book...I so much want it to happen...if I ever find the platform, I'm going to bring awareness to our cancers and get somebody to stand up and take notice.

By the time I'm done with 'em - they won't know what hit 'em! LOL!

Thank you for such kind words....in June, I mark 8-years of living with this disease - I am a dinosaur in the cancer world, that's for sure.

I wish you and the rest of the crew nothing but the best!

If something positive does happen with the book, I just might stroll over here (with all of your permission) and tell you what's happening.

Just think, Martha...if this thing could just pop....I just want the chance to be able to reach the multitude and touch lives....I feel I have something to say with all that I've been through.

And unless my own board has been blowin' smoke up my backside, they tell me that I've helped them in their journeys.

For me, that's the ony reason that I get up anymore. Cancer has taken it to me - but as I told my friends on the board - I've got a message for Cancer:

"I'm Coming - and when I do - Hell is coming with me." ~Sundance

That spells bad news for cancer.

So nice to see you today...say hi to Z, Sephie, Joanne and the whole gang...I'll keep you all close:)

    Hi Craig--
Well, most people who visit this board and a couple others for anal cancer know me! They probably even know me even better than some of my longtime friends. I don't know what that says about me, but oh well! It's definitely a unique circle to be in, but I have met some wonderful people because of this crappy disease--THAT is the only good part about it! Those who take this journey will listen to my complaints, aches and pains, how that BM hurt like hell this morning, and what that salad did to my guts last night. My "regular" friends just don't get it, nor do they want to hear it in most cases.

You are just the encouragement this 58-year old cancer survivor needs right now. My latest endeavor? Training for a marathon! Call it the bucket list or whatever, I have my heart set on completing just one marathon in my lifetime. Since I'm not getting any younger, I think it needs to be sooner than later! My mantra these days is "If you believe it, you can achieve it." I would say that you probably concur with that and I know it will work in your case as well. Books like yours need to be out there, getting in peoples' hands and minds, letting them know about this monster that we have all dealt with. I don't believe this monster is going to be slayed anytime soon, but it all has to start somewhere! Put it out there, my friend!

I knew one little rejection would not stop a warrior! Nor will 5, or 10 whatever it takes til you get the nod....you'll hold on and persevere through it all just like you have with the stupid C stuff!!! I can't wait to hear that good news, so be sure to post here!!
I've often wondered why I survived 3 primary cancers. I thought about writing a book....thought about becoming a speaker, etc....but nothing has quite caught me by the tail ( other than cancer HAHAHA). I know one day it will. I'll figure out my purpose....I'm glad that you have found yours Sundance...besides making us all smile!!
