Hi there,
My mother is about to start etoposide with cisplatin and avastin- wanted to see if anyone has had experience with this combination. This will be her 7th type of treatment in 2 years for uterine serious carcinoma (treated like ovarian). We are devistated that nothing has really worked to put her into long term remission and now just seems as though all this is palliative she is only 60 and I just hate to see her suffer. She just recently underwent gamma knife for a brain met which went really well and now has a blood clot in her lungs. She has ascites since she was not able to receive treatment for a month and the cancer has since progressed. It is in several lymph nodes and am just hoping this chemo will buy her significant time. We need at least 20 more years! that might be pushing it but there is always hope. Any info and /or prayers would be much appreciated.
