Twitching
Imagine two people twitching out. I am/was on clonopin for the anxiety. Lol, once the doc found out I had cancer he had no problem prescribing it. Here the GP is really hesitant to give me any and if I take the as needed dose then I run out before Thursday.
I have acquintances but no close friends. I bought a bottle of my favorite tequila and 3 mini bottles on my way here. That was all the duty free store would allow for Denmark. They are my incase of emergency or the world ends tequila. I keep looking at the tequila. Lol, I am not a drinker...my father is an alcoholic so it always makes me weary of booze...but I keep looking at the tequila.
Lol, it is days prior and won't last. Damn...the wait is horrible...and this is just for the initial exam..not for any scans and the like. I shudder to think about the waiting time then.
I am going to be grinding the crap out of my guards. If I was back in the US I would window shop or go out with someone. Thankfully classes start back up tomorrow and I just got a gym membership. I will be the hamster on the wheel at the gym. Lol, ok just thinking I have the option to work out makes me feel a teensy bit better. Too bad the gyms are closed for today.

Twitching
Here are my thoughts: usually, twitching is from some kind of mineral/ electrolyte deficiency. My guess is that you could use some magnesium. Magnesium is an intercellular electrolyte so blood tests are not helpful when testing for magnesium deficiency.
You need to be careful of magnesium supplementation if you have poor kidney function. If you overdose yourself on magnesium, you just get diarrhea (Milk of Magnesia is a poorly absorbed form of magnesium--magnesium oxide).0 -
I am so sorry you are going through this I wish you live near I would do everything to help get your mind off the up coming exam. When you say you are twitching do you mean you are just nerves, not really twitching. If you are twitching do you take morphine for the pain. I found that if I take to much my mussels will twitch. About the booze I can understand buying it and just stairing at it just don't become consumed by it you know first hand what booze can do to you..... Please any time you need to vent or just have a friend to talk to come to this site there are a lot of teal sisters that want to help. Also if you like you can email me at annebehymer@cox.net I hope class helps you keep your mind of the exam. When you do have the exam and make sure you come to the site good news or bad let us know how it went. I will be praying for you and I hope you have a great day.

But so glad that you're sharing your feelings with the women on this board. I too hope that your class will help distract you. With the gym closed today and without knowing your living situation, would it be possible for you to go out for a walk today, weather-permitting, for fresh air and exercise?
Please keep us posted and sending you lots of prayers and hugs.

I did mean twitching out...mentally with anxiety. But with your response it occured to me that in my nervous state I had not eaten, so eating and juice helped.
I will definitely come back and vent/post. It really helps just to know someone knows how bad the nerves can get. It helps to know that most or all of you know exactly where I am at.
I look at the tequila but know full well that beyond a shot of booze, I feel ill. I do not have a tolerance for it. Someone in the lung cancer board mentioned Scanxiety. That is exactly where I am...lol, and I have not even gotten to it.
I know that the idea of having no clue what my CA 125 was for months is driving up the anxiety. It just a sucky place to be. Thank you ladies you help.0 -

Anne, Kelly thank you for responding. I am up on the 5th floor and everything closes early on Sundays. It is almost 8 pm here. I am emotionally vulnerable and fear breaking down in public. So...I stayed home. My bathroom is sparkling. My cast iron is clean and in line for a new coating.
I channelled the energy into the home. I live with my hubby, when he is home, and 4 cats. They are sensitive to my moods. Tonight I will not be able to toss and turn because they love to pile around me. My favorite cat loves to lay near my head...perferably on my hubby's pillow and purr away. She lulls me to sleep. Otherwise my support system is in the US and online.
I do not call home because of the time difference. To be honest I do not want them to know how anxious I am. With the distance there is not much they can do. It would make them just as anxious and amplify mine. I am better. With an early wake up time...should be out cold soon. Thank you... :]0 -

Great call on getting that gym membership! I know the wait is tortuous, but tomorrow you'll have classes and the gym and that should give some relief... remember we're a post away!

Our beloved pets bring us so much comfort during these extremely stressful and anxious times. My Mr. Kitty is very sensitive to my moods too and has helped to calm me during some difficult times.

I wish I was there to hang out with you. But agreed at least you have your cats. I have two cats and they have really been good company for me. My fiance works alot and I started to drink to fill my time and ease my mind, but my therapist said if your doing it to relax or for fun (sometimes) then its okay. But if your using it to ease your mind or as a crutch then your problems are still going to be there tomorrow. We are here for you.

Update
I went to the doc. Ultrasound showed clear and everything looked good. He had some labs run. I should know by Monday what my CA 125 is. He is not sure how to deal with the particular type of cancer so I am getting referred further on.
I made it ok. I only had a hard cider drink on Sunday. The other nights I exhausted myself to sleep. The anxiety still lingers but not as bad. Thanks gals for being there. It helped knowing you understood.0 -

I had chemo today and blood drawn for my ca125 if it is still rising then they are going to do a MRI of my brain to see if the cancer has spread to my brain so a drink really sounds good but that would not make the number go down so no drink. Have a great weekend all talk with you later.

So glad your ultrasound looked good and hope that you have a good CA 125 too.
Anne, hoping you get good results from your MRI.

Beyond the ultrasound, I have not had any feedback from the doc. They were referring me further on and getting back to me...but nothing so far. I keep calling trying to get the CA 125 #...but nothing.
I got a letter saying my test results were normal. Question is which test results are they and what is normal? I am going to call again tomorrow to see if I can get a # for the CA 125.0 -

I'm so sorry you haven't gotten your CA 125 number yet. How nerve-wracking and frustrating that must be for you. On the other hand, I'm thinking that's a good sign because if the number was high, you would surely have heard from your doctor before now. I hope you get the number tomorrow.

waiting for the same news with your CA-125's. CA-125's would be the same test everywhere, right? I'm proud of you that you made it through that long wait.
