OT 25th Canniversary and Going to Disney World

We are off to Disney World this week! We are celebrating my 25th anniversary since I was first diagnosed and also Katherine's birthday.

When I was first diagnosed, Katherine was four and I missed her birthday party because I was in the hospital with Stage 3 IDC, having my first mastectomy. My little sister stepped in and hosted her party because invitations were sent and everything was planned. I watched her birthday party on video :-(

I remember praying that I could live until she was 8 or 10. Lol, she is now 29! So, hang in there newbies, because there is hope.

So Danny, Katherine and I are celebrating in Disney. We can't wait!

    I am leaving for Disney World first thing tomorrow morning (Wed.) for a week! I'd love to meet you somewhere! I'm going with my kids, their spouses, and grandkids. We'll be in Magic Kingdom on Thursday, not sure about Friday, Animal Kingdom on Saturday, Epcot on Sunday and Tuesday.

    Have a wonderful time! I love the place....at Epcot there's a ride called (sp) Soran.....it's awesome....get a fast pass for it.

    Will look forward to hearing about the trip...

    very cool...you'll have a great time..I planned trip with friend (first time no family) when I finished my radiation! Disney can get your through anything...we own DVC (Disney vacation club) so go all the time..taking whole family in JUNE...

    The World can be crumbling down and day at Disney makes life GREAT...even if for short time..

    It's been too long since we've made the journey and I'm suffering from withdrawal! I have to be in Orlando in July for a meeting but am not sure I can stand the heat to trek over to Disney in July. BUT I've love to try and touch base with anyone in the area while I'm there. Our meeting is at Gaylord Palms. Anybody?

    Nancy - Soarin' at Epcot is awesome! Went on it last year and can't wait to share it with the family. FastPass for sure, as we waited over an hour last time to get on.
    Denise - we belong to the Hilton Grand Vacations Club and are staying at HGVC on International Drive this year; last year we were at HGVC Parc Soleil. Both are fabulous!

    Enjoy your celebrations to the utmost - I know you will. Love Disney! It's now been many years since we've visited...

    And, can't think of a better place for Pink Sisters to meet! :-)

    how true!
    I live close enough to Disney that we can make it a day trip or be more extravagant and stay on property. You are so right, the world can be crumbling down, but a little time at
    Disney does the trick to make things feel right.
