Difficult times...need your support

in Ovarian Cancer #1
Well my sisters I didn't get a good report on my last visit. Not only has my cancer reappeared, I learned that I have developed 3 significant brain tumors. Please forgive my typos etc, I am having trouble seeing and typing. I will have radiation on two of the tumors on 2/9. One is in an unoperable location and the other is going to be treated at the same time. The third will involve a full cranial operation to be done on 2/13. I want to assure you that God is with me and in complete control. I have no fear and I totally trust Him...all things will turn as they should. Without Him, I would be so lost. HE IS AN AWESOME GOD...GET TO KNOW HIM.

I pray that I will heal quickly and can be back on the post to follow my dear friends...until then know I'm still thinking and praying for your strength and health. I will ask my daughter to follow the post and keep me informed of your progress. Love to all.

    I can't tell you how sorry I am that you now have to face this. As you've already heard, Leesa is our resident expert on brain mets and has had excellent results. She's back to being NED and we couldn't be more pleased for her.

    I am so sorry to hear this. You are absolutely right about our awesome God. He will be right there with you. When I had my first CTScan, I was scared to death because I cannot hold my breath due to my lung disease. I started praying to Jesus and asking him to help me. I heard his voice saying, Linda we are here with you. I thought we??? He said, Yes, my father, me and the holy spirit. We are all here with you. I knew I would be fine. Shirley I am praying for you. God will answer our prayers.

    This utterly utterly sucks. Have you considered the side effect of the radiation? Check out the brain board for ideas of what you can expect. They frequently have radiation to brain. They are intimately familiar with side effects and the like. I am being as proactive as possible. This strikes close to home.

    My variant of cancer, has a high rate of mets to the brain....and everywhere else in the body. Once it is in my brain doctors have said care will be palliative. I talked to nuerologist, patients with prior WBR or more focused treat ments like gamma and the like. Tough choices you have to make. Hugs, hugs, and prayers. Please keep us updated.

    Shirley, I'm sorry to hear you are having to go through this difficult trial with the surgery and radiation coming up soon. It sounds like you have a strong faith in the one who will never leave you or forsake you and He will see you through this. He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in time of trouble1 Praying for you!

    I am so humbled..
    by your outpouring of love, prayers and support. Although this was a shocking revelation, I am in a good place...I truly am full of joy and happiness and hope. I know my God is with me and there is a purpose for everything. You all are so important to me and I walk your journeys with you...always remember there is a rainbow after the storms. Be confident my dears that if God is in control...all IS and WILL BE excellent and you will have a life that we as mortals cannot comprehend. I love you all.

    And to all, yes we detest and grow weary of this disease but stay positive and encouraged...it brought all of us together...and we will all grow as a result.
