Parotid gland cancer

in Head and Neck Cancer #1
It will 2 years Feb 5th that I was operated on for parotid gland cancer then I had 33 Rad. treatments then in 2011 the cancer came back only this time it was in my right shoulder blade so I had 14 more Rad. treatments and have had chemo and am still getting small dose of chemo once a month. I am still here today because of my faith in God and having many prayers for my recovery and a good doctor and a loving wife & family.So to all who have cancer put your faith in what God and prayers can do and believe that he can bring you through anything. On my last Pet scan on Dec 22nd there was no cancer showing

    That is great news that you're clear now. It does seem odd that with a glandular cancer it came back in your shoulder.

    I am about to receive radiation for a Mucoepidermoid Carcinoma which is also a gland cancer. Ergo the name Muco, as is mucus. Mine was on the base of my tongue and rt lymph nodes. Hopefully it will stay away after the RT, but one never knows and can only have faith that it will be gone for good.

    MY CANCER STARTED IN FRONT OF MY LEFT EAR. THERE WAS A LUMP THE size of two walnuts so they did a bio in the lump an it came back as cancer .so they operated at GBMC the operation took 6 hours .then I came back home and had 33 radation treatments . that was one of the worst times of my life I could not eat and for 6 weeks I lived on carnation instant breakfast drink. I lost 40 lbs but have since gained back 20 of them.then in early 2011 the cancer came back only this time it was in the right shoulder blade.So I had 14 more radation treatments an then started Chemo. The radition has damaged the muscles in my arm and so I have limited use of my arm but with God'S help I will be ok.
