This is so hard to ask

Only because this is something I would ask my mom but she has never had cancer let alone ovarian. Ok here it goes last night I was rubbing my stomach and my mom asked "are you in pain?" I told her yes not to bad but I am in pain. My Surgery was back in June last year so it's not from that, she asked "what kind of pain is it?" I told her I am not sure I think sharp (the pain was not that strong). Here is the part that is hard to talk about, whe I got up this morning to go to the bathroom there is a stain in my underware that is from a discharge I think and it is light brown, but it looks like when you are at the end of your monthly and you pass that dark colored blood but only it is watered down in color. Has anyone else have this problem or not it's just since my surgery this has not happened. When I first had the pain I kinda thought it was because I had to go poo (I had to stated Senna and it was causing cramppin when I needed to go) but that was not the case this time I am not scared that the cancer is back I just don't understand what is going on and is it something I need to be worried about.

    Dear Anne
Anne, I had that once and it was an urinary track infection. Just call your doctor on Monday. The sooner you get some antibiotics in you the better. You will feel better about it after you talk to the doctor.

    ((((hugs))))

    Pain
    Hi Anne,
My daughter had kidney reflux from birth until she had surgery at eight. She had frequent urinary tract infections that sometimes travelled to her kidneys. What you describe sounds very similiar.
On a different note I have never had cancer but i do get the brown staining and it is in part caused by low progesterone levels.
    Try not to worry.

Thanks for having the courage to ask something I have been meaning to ask about. The post/during chemo side effects drive me nuts. Getting the vaginal PH back to normal is an ongoing battle.

I have been using natural methods the doctor recommended and the women on this board have recommended...nothing. Have to get on antibiotics to get rid of infections. Drives me nuts...still better than the alternative.

    Low Progesterone
There shouldn't be any staining due to progesterone because the initial treatment for OVCA is hysterectomy and debulking surgery. You should definitely call your gyn onc for a consult!

    Radioactive: have you tried
Radioactive: have you tried using a probiotic--in particular, one formulated for intra-vaginal use? I have more thoughts about pH; if you want to send me a private message, I'll elaborate.
