Sleep and healing music

Hmmm
This music thing may get annoying after a while. Certainly don't want it on all night. Maybe just to use as a relaxation technique before bedtime.0 -

Was wondering what it's like - will have to look it up. Some of the relaxation music I've listened to, I couldn't imagine listening to at a time other than bed time.0 -
Sing me to sleep my dear
Hi Robin
I did find that if the music is soft and low it does help in sleeping or with me it was that way until I lost most of my hearing, now it don’t matter. The problem is finding just the right music or sound to listen too. My wife can sleep with the TV on and as soon as I turn it off she will wake up but as long as it is on she will sleep like a baby. So it is not just music it is sound, find the right sound and it might help you sleep like a baby too.
Take Care

Self-Hypnosis CD
My wife offers these help-you-to-sleep, self-hypnosis CDs which are AMAZING! It takes you through a body relaxation, puts you into a hypnotic state, then as you're drifting off to sleep, switches into the same type of "sleep music" and of course then the CD ends. When our kids (ages 7 and 10) can't sleep, they listen to one.
I used self-hypnosis CDs all through my treatments to help fight cancer and to help deal with radiation. My wife didn't make the CDs for me, we just bought them from Health Journeys (Bella Ruth Naperstak).
Yeah, I know... Kind of a shameless plug for the wifey's business. But it can help. Something to consider...

I listen to self hypnosis downloads and or CDs as well, and they are great.
I really like the sounds of a Scots accent and am listening to products from hypnosis downloads.com At most web sites you can hear a sample of the narrator.

Amazon has a lot of MP3 downloads, you can order them individually for about $1.00 each.

Music soothes the savage breast.
I have been falling asleep to music or talk radio for years, and years and years. I cannot fall asleep when it's quiet. It relaxes me. When I was married, my ex husband snored and ground his teeth so bad, if he was in the bed, I had to sleep with earplugs.
Sometimes, I listen to slow or classical, and sometimes, I listen to what I call my 'therapy' playlist.0 -

Sweetblood, you rock!
I'm really thinking that you should (don't like should) consider writing a book about this whole deal. Ever think of that? I think I have a dream about survivors and caregivers because we have stories that move the earth. Most of all...you amazing survivors!!!0 -

Actually, I've been wanting to do a cookbook for HNC survivors. Been developing and trying recipes for quite a while now. Maybe someday it'll get done.0
