Hey Chris, this is great news! I'm so very happy for you. Good follow-ups always remind me that what I went through was well-worth it and now I'm sure you feel the same way. I'm happy to hear that you have accepted the fact that the port must stay in for a little while. If that is the biggest annoyance after what you've been through, you can deal with it just fine for a few more months. I welcome you to the ranks of survivors and wish you excellent follow-up results from here on!0 -

Hi Chris, Great news! I know what a relief this is.
As for the port I've had mine since 5-2009, I kept mine due to a couple of polyps while undergoing the initial biopsy and colonoscopy. Only one was pre cancerous. So after I have my 3 year follow up this 5-2012, I will tell the dr to remove it if there are no issues. Don't touch it and leave it alone, your skin will get stronger and you will forget its there. I wish you continued great news.
