Walked 5 miles today. Love the fresh air. Before cancer, I took fresh air for granted. Dumb!
Hey, anybody out there shovelling snow?? That counts as heavy-duty exercise.0 -

Just don't do any marathons for a while.
Maybe lookup up collagen pro and tissue regenex some magical potions my naturopath advised to help Mr recover from surgery.
Super nutrition might be good at this time as well.
Enjoy your walk.
I am off to yoga right now and I will hit the treadmill for ole times sake

Its been a while since the walking post has popped to the top of the list, alas, i have been sidetracked with my confounded rising cea.
but the show must go on.
the walking post must continue, the message is simple.
exercise is good, specific targets like can prevent recurrence.
just don't use me as an example. alas.
the stats say 53% survival boost. maybe i am in the 47% club.
either way the merits and purpose of this post is more about exercising.
its nice for this subject to gently pop to the top of our list every so often so that newbies get to understand how something as simple as walking can really help.
now days i do more yoga and weight training than walking.

Doing core strengthening 3 days/week
yoga, 2 days, curling 2+ days/week (will be curling in USWCA Women's Nationals in Minnesota in 2 weeks! Pretty exciting stuff!) I can feel how the core work has improved my curling.
No skiing this winter. So far, no winter this winter.0 -

managed my first back arche today. i was happy my old body could manage this.
tonight i also did a weights workout before yoga. so a bit more exercise then normal.
the yoga is in a hot room, its a real sweat workout and fast paced. lots of deep breathing.
my clothes are soaked when i am finished.
now when i sweat, i think i am offloading all the lead and mercury circulating around my system. to that end i have also been doing a few enemas each day between classes. they help
boost the detox from the liver and the colon. all ways of dealing with my heavy metal toxity.
being cleaned out before heavy duty yoga kind of helps you get into some of the more challenging positions.
anyone else doing enemas or yoga or any other exercise ?
they say it helps prevent recurrence! even though i may have a rising cea, i have no regrets about all the exercise, i am hitting this dam cancer with everything i have got.
given the huge boost exercise is supposed to give stage 3ers, i hope they understand exercises value. an once of prevention !! alas
i did not work for me the way i expected, but it may work for you.
at least do me one favour before you sit on the couch, read the benefits of colorectal and exercise recurrance. if your well enough, maybe go outside for a walk in the fresh air.
hugs,
Pete

On my way to a cardio/pump class, which is aerobics mixed with light weights. Love this class as it is not only great exercise, but a wonderful release for tension, etc as we box toward the mirror with our weights, then do ninja-type kicks. I follow this class with a hatha yoga class------------the best of both exercise worlds....body and spirit.0 -
