recurence gbm before gliodel wafers

I think we talked the other day. I had the glio wafers installed last Aug 21st. I didn't have any side effects from the wafers, but what they do is apply chemo directly to the tumor for about 21 days. That gives you time to heal from the operation, while at the same time treating the tumor. After that, you can start rads and chemo. I think the wafers really work.
Good Luck to you and Hubby tomorrow...
God Bless

Hi. I had the same proceedure performed on me in the fall of 2003. If it is like mine everything will go well. There are no side effects from the waffers at all. They just dessolve directly into the area near the affected area that is left after they have removed as much of the tumor that they can see. My hope is that this stops the darn thing from coming back. Best of luck to you and GOD Bless.0

Seems the mental issues I have is caused by the radiation I received following my 1st sugery iN jAN OF 2011. I was told it may get better but I pretty much have to go with the flow and I will noe the same person I was before all this startes.0
