Deeken is my guy too. He's really a great guy. My first appointment, he easily spent an hour talking with me about my cancer, HPV, everything. Goalie and I have probably passed in the hallways.
I wrote something on my blog about the ACS data and the recent research out of Ohio State.

since I finished a year ago and all of my follow-up with Deeken has been up here in Montgomery General Hospital at the new office that they opened. But I would have been pleased nonetheless to have done so.
It does happen that I was put onto another HNC guy by a friend. When I got to talking to him and he mentioned "nine weeks of rads" then I knew that his rad onc was Harter. It turned out not only so but that his med onc was also Deeken. Only our ENTs were different but out of the same office, of course. Davidson was mine.
I could not have been luckier in this as I think I got the best of the best. Doug0 -

he's hanging out in Montgomery County.
I also have Harter for rads onc. Definitely think I lucked out with great docs. My ENT is based at Washington Hospital Center, but also sees patients at Gtown.0 -

Hey Marty, I am going to try to go to the GUH Support Group tomorrow. I am hoping also to meet another guy who I have connected with through hockey (what else?). I don't know if you go but would be pleased to see you. Doug0 -

If I can get away from the office, I was planning on going for the first time. Hopefully see you there.0
