Lori - how did it go?
I've been thinking of you, wasn't your appointment today at MDA?
Hugs,

Appts are scheduled for Jan
Appts are scheduled for Jan 25, 26, and 27th. I remember when my kids used the term "kinda-sorta" and I would ask for an explanation. NOW I get it! I am "kinda-sorta" nervous about the outcome. Will let you know when I know, and thanks for thinking of me.... Lori0 -

We'll be missing you by a few days. My appointments are March 5th and 6th. I would change them but I already booked the flights. Maybe next time we can coordinate. It's always good to have company there and meet fellow virtual friends in person.

Wow! What a tiring three days!
NO METASTISIS! Tumor is very, very small now. Dr. Chang started to biopsy it but decided to "wait and see" till next appt in three months. He DID say he wasn't PLANNING to do surgery on me.....so, I am feeling very good about things.
Pain in hips and lower back was dx as arthritis exacerbated by radiation therapy. Dr reminded me that at my age arthritis isn't unusual. Never hurt before radiation though. I askd so many questions the Dr told me to take my Ativan! Kinda hurt my feelings, LOL!
Last appt was with fantastic onc/gyn. NO stenosis YET.....BUT...WE ALL HAVE TO BE DILIGENT BECAUSE STENOSIS CAN DEVELOPE SLOWLY OVER TIME. THE ONC/gyn Here at MDA works closely with the rad docs (and patients) and really gets angry when women are left damaged when they didn't need to be. (sometimes it CANNOT be helped.)
Other thing I was told and asked to pass on: even if you have had a hysterectomy, had your cervix removed, and only have a part of an ovary left, get your yearly exam.!! The vagina and pelvic floor NEED TO BE EXAMAINED!! I had been told a pap wasn't necessary any longer. If I had been having my annual exams the tumor in my anal canal would have (most likely) been found much earlier. Rad PA also said basically the same thing.
I feel blessed to be here at MDA....the doctors are awesome.......BUT am ready to go home! Lorikat0 -

Congrats on the great results from your exams! Let's hope that your tumor remains the same and nothing further needs to be done. Thanks for updating us and sharing some very good information about pelvic exams. Have a safe trip home!0 -

What's left could be scar tissue as well so that's why they may be taking a wait and see approach. I'm so relieved! Happy Dance time!
