lymph node involvement
Just asking for some advice if the answer to my latest difficulty is out there. I've developed a lump in what I think is my lymph node just below my ear. It's hard and goes along the lymph for about a few centimeteres. It's not painful but I'm concerned about what it means.

Get it checked!
I have no experience of this but you must get it checked out, it could just be a swollen gland, do you have a sore throat, have you had a cold? There is a chance it could be something more sinister so please have it looked at by your doctor, let us know how you get on X0 -

It's only on the left side of my neck as I look down. It's just below the ear. I haven't got a sore throat or anything like that and it's only on one side. It's not painful and just seems to run down in a line. I'll call the nurse this morning. Thanks for your encouragement.0 -

Hi Sue...
I went to see my GP who said that even though it's only on one side, normally something of the nasty type would probably be in strings. He thinks it may be a virus. Three days later, the lump is still there, but he has made another appointment for me next week to check it out again. Will let you know.0 -

Thanks for your support. I have the same name as you have and I think we're both in the UK.
