When asked reply 'I am fabulous"

For those of you who are asked constantly "how are you doing ?, this usta get me annoyed, cause everyone always asked. they asked my husband, they ask my kids , they ask my friends and frankly it is kind of crazy, they really don't want to hear the latest treatment, or the latest trouble or hurt, or night of sleeplessness, I noticed it did not make me feel better to tell them the truth, and my family seemed to be bombarded and it always made them feel bad when they said I was back in treatment. So I have decided that from now on when anyone ask how I am doing no matter what, ( other then my doctors) I tell them I am doing fabulous, and that the cancer is really only a small part of my life. I have told my family to do the same. This has really lightened things up and for the most part we can forget I have cancer and get on with living. Just a thought.

Hi Penny:
I was wondering how you were doing, haven't seen you post in a while.
By the tone of your post, does it mean you are back in treatment? I sure hope not but if you are, you know you can count on the board for any and all support you may need.

Dear Penny
I agree, most who ask 'how are you doing' don't really want to know.
My stock answer has always been 'Just Peachy'...lol
Take care.

Yes, I am back in treatment, looks like I will be getting 4 more treatments, ( of 10) and then another scan, The spots are in the abdomin on the left side, but they are shrinking, this seems to be my area of problems. They have been here before went away and have come back.
I am very busy with my adult Children, who are in school and live at home and my job and my art business, so I stay busy.
this works for me.
