4+ years
I have been hesitant to post as so many have recently had recurrences and it breaks my heart to hear. But as I thought about it this week I realized that when I came to the boards in 2008 I longed to hear of stories that continued to keep me hopeful.....so I share with you my news to extend hope to you.
I was diagnosed in October of 2007 Stage 4. It has been 4+years. Early January I had my CT scan and CEA and all was good...normal CEA and clear scan. I am feeling well and striving to enjoy each day....hoping there will be many but not knowing what the future holds. I feel grateful and blessed.
Wishig you all hope....for every new day!

Congratulations ...
and thank you for posting, Dawn. In a time when so many of our friends are going through rough patches, it's very VERY uplifting to hear stories of triumph ... specially to newbies such as myself. I wish you continuing good health and hope you'll share more of your journey with us on here.0 -

I am so glad you posted...
I am so happy for you!
We need to hear from everyone how they are doing whether we are fighting or doing well. If we didn't hear from the ones that are striving we might begin to feel hopeless and that just will not do.
Keep it up Dawn! We are watching for your good updates.
God's blessings.

Wonderful!
Hi Dawn,
Thanks for sharing your wonderful news! So many of us struggle, don't get the good news, and need the advice and support from other board members for whatever our problems may be, but I am ALWAYS glad when someone posts their good news. Like you said, when I first came to the board I was looking for stories of people who were doing well and who are NED or "in the clear". We all need to hear that to give us hope. If the only posts were bad posts, then it would make it seem like no one gets over cancer & that isn't true- many do!
Hugs to you- go out and enjoy yourself!

Always great to hear!
Dawn,
Thanks for sharing your wonderful news with us! I don't think I could continue treatments if I didn't have the hope that someday I will beat this cancer. You give me so much hope and I pray that you remain cancer free forever.
We are all here celebrating with you, my dear friend!!!!!!!
Love,
Sara0
