Update

I had my appointment with the radiation oncologist yesterday (same one I used 2 years ago with the bc). He tapped into the hospital website and showed Kevin and me the computer images from the CT, bone scan, MRI and PET scan. Looks like T-12 is fully involved and parts of L-1. The "numerous metastatic foci" that showed on the MRI in my sacrum and pelvis did not show up on the PET but he said it doesn't mean they're not there--sometimes PET does not pick up very small tumors. Anyway, he said whether they are there or not really doesn't change the treatment plan and probably won't change the outcome much.

On Monday I go back to his office for measuring, marking, etc. After that (about a week later) I will do 15 rad sessions on T-12/L-1. My bone biopsy is scheduled for next Tuesday (pink bus, please--oh and I think I need a lemon drop martini for this one!). After that, I will again see my med. onc. to set up the chemo treatment plan (I hope it's a gentle one). Once again (as I know you can ALL relate to), my calendar is filled with appointments.

One question--my port has been out for over a year--think they'll put one back in? I only have one small vein in my unaffected arm and the poor little thing has had it.

Anyway, no lifting, bending or stooping for me and Percocet/Tylenol as needed (though I hate narc. pain meds).

This weekend, the fam will be over and we'll be watching playoff football, eating yummy snacks and maybe I'll just have to have that lemon drop martini!
