Welcome
Sorry you had to join our country club of message boards but you have found yourself in a very informative bunch of people and caring and giving with it. Starting the pump and radiation are going to get you depleted in energy when more is given you. The more you get, you will get depleted but it is tolerable. Rest when you can and do activities when you can. Everyone is different but you should get through it good. It's hard at times, but you have us to fall back on when you have a question. Good luck in your treatments.

Thanks for the reply Kim. Everyone has told me that the radiation will start to drag me down around the end of the second week maybe the third. I am going to try and work as long as I can and take it one day at time.0 -

One day at a time will take you very far. One foot in front of the other is how you get through this ordeal.

One day at a time Bud...
One day at a time Bud... it's the only way to go at this. Welcome! You have come to the right place for care, support and even a few laughs when you least expect it.

Hi Bud,
I'm about 4 months
Hi Bud,
I'm about 4 months ahead of you in the colorectal cancer journey so you could say I'm relatively new. This forum is a great place to get information and support. Everyone is different in their response to the treatment. You may not get that tired. I didn't have much fatigue but a lot of people do. My one early recommendation is to get a supply of aquaphor or whatever your onc's office suggests to start taking care of your bottom in case you have issues with diarrhea from the radiation a few weeks from now. I know that's getting pretty familiar on first introduction but this disease has a tendency to bring that out.
Goodluck and I hope your treatments go smoothly.
Sending light,
Laura0
