Anyone heard of this being done for CRC with liver mets? Article entitled: "Radical Liver Surgery, West Coast First" implies this was performed already elsewhere in US.....Speaks of liver cancer but not mets from CRC......

    Exciting
Wow this exciting! It happened at UCSD here in San Diego. I hadn't heard about it until now. I don't know why it would make a difference whether it's liver cancer or mets from crc.

    That is very exciting!
I am curious about that because I have colon cancer w/mets to liver. Originally had 30+ lesions across both lobes of my liver and recent MRI 12/23 showed 15 lesions mainly in right lobe only. My tumor marker is at 1.0! I'm on Avastin only every 3 weeks. If these continue to shrink/disappear; whatever they are doing, I'm going to ask again about the possibility of liver transplant or resection. If I don't have recurrence of colon cancer, I don't see why I can't be a candidate. Does that sound crazy?

    Very interesting
Will be interested to see how everything turned out. I agree that it shouldn't make any difference if it is only liver cancer or mets to liver it's liver with cancer. Let's hope that this is promising because for many of us it would be a life saver. Pray hard.
