*** UPDATE *** Wierd stuff always happens to me.....what's up with that??????? LoL...
I told my rad onc at Cyberknife today. He examined me. He is doing a ct scan tomorrow morning. He said it is one of 3 things. He said that man could have broke a rib and it has been swollen which has padded the break and now that the swelling has gone down I am feeling the break..OR...I have concrete in 2 of my upper vertebrae in my back from where I broke my back last year.....that man may have squeezed me so tight that it broke loose some of that concrete and now it is pinching a nerve...OR...I have bone mets. What the hell???? Are you for real???? LOL. Oh my god...I just can't friggin believe this!!!!
So, here I am hoping and praying I have a broken rib..... How retarded does that sound? LOL. My husband is so mad at that guy but its not like he did it on purpose. He has apologized over and over. Hell, it may not even be from him. I will know for sure tomorrow and will let you guys know. I just can't believe these stupid things happen to me!

Well, let's hope it's nothing major but all those things you've named are painful.
Is it possible somewhere along the way, your lung got punctured and you have a pneumothorax. I had that happen when my port was inserted, hurt like hell. Finally showed up on a Pet scan but anyway, this is about you. I'm praying for a bruised rib for you.

I thought only I was a MAGNET TO IDIOTS. Seriously, I have to watch out for people all the time so that they don't elbow me, back into me, everything. Last week was on a train at the airport (after days of trying to NOT get my port and HAI pump rammed into by spastic, psycho people). I let my guard down for **2 seconds ** and a 5'10" 230lb. woman didn't "hold on" on the train, and when it started moving, her body slammed into mine. She was pushing on my pump, while I was pushing her back.....it was each woman for themselves!!! Sooooo frustrating!!

Yes..... I didn't even think about the rib being bruised...that wud be best case scenario!!! Here's hoping for bruised ribs!!

Wow,that is some weird stuff. I pray the rad onc is wrong on all three counts and it's something much less serious. (so you don't have to keep hoping it's a broken rib) Did you get pain meds? I hope that the pain doesn't interfere with you enjoying that room along with it's room service. I'll be thinking of you as you finish up Cyberknife.

Geez can you even catch a break while you are going through this treatment. I'm sure the guy didn't mean it, but I'm sure if he hugged you that hard, it could have done something. With all the radiation and chemo that you've had, the bones, I'm sure, get weaker and as you know that by the bone deteroriation in your teeth so I'm sure it could happen all over the body. I'm sure that it's just bruised or wrose, broken. I'm confident it's not bone mets as you probably would have felt it sometime ago, fingers crossed I'm right

Hi Jennie,
I'm glad to read your update & hear you're "only" bruised. Geez- that man obviously didn't know his own strength. I hope he has a clue now & is much more gentle when greeting and hugging people in the future. Bruised or sore ribs can be very painful- I've found that out firsthand lately. I have such a time with spasmodic coughing that I'm constantly pulling rib muscles & it will hurt so bad that it will hurt to breathe even. Enough to have me on pain meds for it.
Anyhow- no broken bones and definitely no bone mets there (what a relief, but your doc shouldn't have even said that option- they should know how upsetting hearing that would be)
So I think you'll be good as new in a couple of days!

Man, I just can't believe how much this hurts. Last night I woke up about 4am and was having a hard time breathing. It really scared me. Enough to call the doctor. He told me to take an Aleve and put an icebag on the area. Within 30 minutes I was feeling much better and drifted off to sleep. As today progresses it seems to get worse and worse.... looking forward to taking that Aleve tonite. I have some Vicodin but the Aleve work better. I don't know how many Aleve I can safely take. The bottle says 1 every 12 hours but I sure could use it more frequent than that. Those nsaids have some terrible possible side effects...stomach bleeding????? EWE!
