Hello Mary
Just wanted to thank you for your kind remarks. On this site everyone does their best to share, as you well know I'm sure, because it is through that sharing that we all find our way through this nightmare called cancer. Only those who have gone through it themselves in many ways, either as survivors or friends of patients or children of patients, can help those who are trying to make their way through as well. You truly have to walk a mile in our shoes before you can truly understand what we are experiencing. Sites like this are a blessing as they allow groups of like folks to share and learn so that we can intelligently battle this monster with courage and strength.

Validation is a big part of our struggles with cancer but today, more than ever, I have seen such great strides in support programs for the survivor. When I was first diagnosed over 20 years ago support was limited and validation was hard to find. Now with the internet and groups like this we are finding that we are indeed NOT ALONE and from others experiences we learn about our own struggles with cancer and can deal with it far more effectively. There is such power in validation and people find it on this site in spades. Wonderful.

I hope your New Year is all you hope it will be and more Mary. I love that picture of Jesus you have on your profile. I don't think I have seen one like that before. Such a kind face. Remember, all is possible with God.
