What's Next?

in Thyroid Cancer #1
I went to the Dr. today and got pathology report stating I have papillary carcinoma follicular variant confined to thyroid. My actual dr wasnt there so I dont know what is next for me. During surgery I had JUST my isthmus removed-not my right or left lobe.
Since on the report it says its confined does that mean I will not have to have the rest of my thyroid removed? Just wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar.
Also worried about the fact I had melanoma last year and both of these types of cancer can mean the possibility of BRAF. Which I also know little about.
Any info would be appreciated.

    I don't have any experience or information to share with you, but just want to say my heart goes out to you. Like everyone else here, I know what it is like to get the path report and find out it's cancer. It's a hard word to hear. Best to you.
