New guy here, whats it all mean?

Greetings all,

I've been lurking around off and on for a couple years. I'm going to try to be more involved as I get further away from my surgery date (July 7, 2009 in USC, Dr. Tom DeMeester). I've noticed at the end of most posts there is a code, which I assume tells your diagnosis date etc..., But I can't quite figure it out and I would like to include this info with any of my posts. Appreciate the help, it's nice to be here, on a couple different levels. Happy Holidays!

Kirk

    Hi Sherry, William and Ginny
Thanks for the welcome. I'm still updating my "about me" page but please drop in and find out all about me if you like. William I appreciate your info but I am still a little confused. Which I blame on chemo-brain, pretty handy excuse every now and then. Yes Ginny, I am referring to the T2N1MO thing. As I understand it if I was diagnosed as a stage three then I'm T3. ("T" stands for what?) What does N1 and MO stand for? Thanks folks!

I think N is nodes and M is mets. I get easily confused. There was a great post by someone that explained the TNM codes. You want 0 to low numbers for each letter.

I'll go check out your about me page!

I had actually Googled it earlier today and read the same link. Not sure why I didn't try that myself. But thanks all for the help everyone.
