Hospital
Well just got home from the Hospital today. I had a severe Diverticulitis attack since last Wednesday.
I was admitted to the Hospital Sunday and they had to call in a surgeon. I was so scared.
But he said lets treat this with antibiotics around the clock and see what happens. Considering all my other problems with blood thinners and such. So I was happy about that. Had to live on liquids for a while and came home today and have to eat nothing but soft foods for a week. Till I go back to the surgeon next Friday.
Also he did a ultra sound on my right breast and it proved to just be fibroid.
So that was good. It just seems my problems never end. Thank you for the well wishes everyone. I wish you all a most Blessed Christmas and may God Bless you all.

never ending
Hilde,
You are so right,it never seems to end does it.Remember when nothing used to bother us. We got sick and could hardly breathe was no big deal. We went out anyway. We were untouchable. We didn't feel good but it was no problem,we went out anyway. Nothing could really hurt us.We had fevers of 102 and out we went. NOW lets bring it up to date. We get a sniffle and what in the hell is happening to us. Is this finally it for us we ask ourselves. Big change from back then isn't it? A lot of it is all in our minds because of what we have been thru. You know what?....It is all normal for us. We are not hypochondriacs. Its just we have been thru hell. Diverticulitis is certainly nothing to sneeze at. I hear it can be painful at times. That is not in our heads, but all of the things that we associate with it causes us to worry. Its all a normal thing to do now.My God don't let my nose start to run or feel a little warm.My mind starts to crank up. Certainly glad to hear it was only fibroid tissue, but thats not what you thought in the beginning is it? Its terrible what this disease has done to us isn't it. John0 -
Hang in there
Hi Hilde,
I'm so glad the checkup turned out to be a fibroid issue.
Sorry to hear about the diverticulitis. That's no fun.
I'd make you some killer mashed potatoes but I don't know
how to send them via the Internet .
Hang in there.
Hugs and positive thoughts,
Jim

Dang....
Dang Hilde....when it rains it pours..huh? I'm so relieved the lump was fibroid..."YEAH"!! I read a little info about Diverticulitis...UGH..NOT FUN! So sorry you landed in the hospital because of it. Is the pain gone? Sure hope so, cuz I just hate hearing your hurting so close to Christmas. This time last year I was 2 days out from having my last CVP-R chemo and I remember how crappy I was feeling from the devil prednisone and accumulation affects from all the prior rounds of chemo. Man... I was one tired whooped puppy at Christmas! This year is soooo much better and the added blessing of our sweet Lizzy to enjoy! You said you can only eat soft foods till next Friday? Hmmmm... fudge is soft...egg nog... maybe some bread pudding? Wish I lived close by to bring you some holiday comfort food ): Hang in there dear Hilde and let us know what the surgeon says next Friday. I'll keep ya in my prayers sweetie. Much love...Sue (FNHL-2-3a-6/10)0 -
