Asking for good thoughts & prayers for a friend

I am kind of sad tonight. A friend/co-worker's husband has brain cancer. He was just dx'd 3 months ago. She told me today that it is not likely that he will make it til Christmas.
She said he is trying really hard because he wants to share one last Christmas with his family but she does not think that is going to happen. I hate this d*** disease. This is supposed to be a happy time of year! There are too many suffering because of the beast.
I am keeping all of you in my thoughts everyday.

    Will send prayers and good thoughts
    for your friend. You are right this should be a happy time of year, and yet it was this time when I lost my brother to cancer 15 years ago. It was a blessing as well as sad as he was in so much pain and he was so ready at that point, and BC took my grandmother on Christmas Eve. So there is not a time that the beast holds sacred.

    Prayers are on the way for your friend and her family.

    I'm so sorry about your friend. Yes, too many people are suffering because of this stupid illness. It's getting worse each year, more and more people I think. I really hope a miracle happens with your friend and she gets to spend the holidays with her love ones. I will have her in my prayers.

    Prayers said
    and will continued to be said. I also have a co-worker whose husband has stage 4 cancer that has spread just about everywhere in his body. He is in a lot of pain and is trying to stay alive to see his son graduate high school. I hate cancer and what it does to us, our families and friends.

    Very sorry
    Very sorry to hear about your friend's husband.I hope he makes it through Christmas. My father passed away close to Christmas.His funeral was Christmas Eve.It was hard for quite a while.I remember going into stores and shopping for something to wear.Alot of cheery Christmas songs BUT I was crying.

    Again I hope he makes it through the holiday for his family and himself.Thinking of you too.This must be not only a shock to the family but to you also.

    My husband has told me about co-workers or people he hears about only living 2 days after their cancer dx.Has to be horrible for the patient and family.Dx one day and gone 2 days later.
