Feeling off today ~~
I was just wondering if anyone else with this length of time still has these days. I'm sad, on the verge of tears and today it is upsetting me that I'm not stronger emotionally.
I think, truthfully, I'm looking for "the ol' misery loves company". I'm sorry to say it that way, but it's a rough day.
Thanks,
Wanda

You are very strong!
We all have days like that even when we aren't recovering from cancer. Vent away, maybe have some chocolate - this will blow over soon. Hang in there!

You are strong. But not today. Or however long this feeling lasts.
You want company? I've been having a hard time lately -- a pile of unrelated things which, gathered together, are causing me grief. My head knows this too shall pass, but try telling that to my screaming insides:)
You are probably exactly where you're supposed to be. The reason why will be revealed down the line.
Huge hug,

I'm glad you chose to come
I'm glad you chose to come here and share your mood with us...I'm not 2 years out, but I don't think it matters. I hope that telling us about it, and the support you get here helps. Soon your rough day will be over and the memory will simply be a reminder that you're human.
Hugs,

I told my husband yesterday, was hard to admit, I can't seem to get it together! I have always been an upbeat person, but for the last few days, I can't seem to pull myself out of it. I hate feeling like this!
It does help just to know you are all there. I went to see my granddaughter sing in a Christmas Pageant and had to come right home. I had wished that would lighten my mood.
Clementine and Nana C, thanks for the kind words and Victoria and Linda for the MUCH NEEDED Hugs.0 -
Perfectly Normal
Dear Wanda,
It is perfectly normal to remember a horrible experience on the anniversary. As time passes, you will think less and less of that time. Of course, every back ache, unknown pain does bring back a reminder that it could return. Remember that 70% of women and men never do and life forever cancer free.
Feel sad today and hopefully tomorrow the sun will return to your life.
Best,

as I want to give you a big hug! I, as the other pinkies, are always, always here for you. I am glad that you came here to let us know how you were feeling. I hope that we can give you some comfort and to make you feel better.
Everyone has bad days, days where we cry, feel sad and maybe just want to pull the covers over our head and stay in bed all day. It's normal! When you consider what we've gone thru to rid ourselves of the beast and then on top of that put the everyday struggles of everything else on top of that, it's a wonder we aren't all in the loony house.
Be kind to yourself, allow yourself days like this, but know that there are brighter days ahead of you. I pray that this feeling will pass quickly from you Wanda as you are one of the sweetest pink sisters I've ever known on here!
If you want more hugs from me, you got them!

Life still happens and it can be unrelated to cancer, but we all still get down. I have been pretty touchy lately. Holidays are exhausting and there is so much expectation and stress.0 -

Hey this site needs a like button! Are you on any tamoxifen or my case femara? I blame my moods on the meds!0 -
Sorry you are feeling down.
Sorry you are feeling down. Sometimes the holidays can bring on some depression. So much to do and so little time. Or some such saying. Plus having lost both parents and being far from loved ones can bring you down (me anyway). Hope talking about it helps you out. Wishing you the best. Diana0 -

Hi,
I just read your profile. I was diagnose in 1994 too. It's nice to find another women who has put in the same time with this disease.
Now you should have learned over these many years, that one doesn't allow themselves totally exhausted or to stress themselves. Give yourself a day for pampering just you. If the card don't get out, call people in January, attend only the parties you want to attend, cut, cut, cut until it is manageable.
I'm a lot older as my children were a lot older than yours in 1994. You had it rough with two children, a baby and a toddler. One of mine starting college and the other high school. It was a rough year, one of the roughest.
Wishing you the best of holidays and a wonderful time with your older teens.
Best,

You are very strong and don't you forget it! I think you can see that lots of us have these days. The main thing is to not have too many of them in a row. I think with the holidays and all of the pressure that it doesn't help matters either.
Allow yourself to have these feelings and even cry. We're here to wipe away your tears.

Well it's Monday and I feel a little better. I can't tell you what it means to have you all here. Sue, you made me cry, thank you ( with joy though ) I wanted to come here with my sadness because I'm tired of burdening my family and all of you made me realize what a safe place this is.
Love you all,
