Normal time frame

What is the normal time frame for follow up PET. Our ONC says that Dad will have a PET at week four after two rounds of chemo. My worry is that his staging has led him to do a PET sooner than later to see if he is responding to the Cisplatin, Taxotere, 5FU treatment. Anyone else have a follow up PET that quickly after beginning treatment?

I had a CT scan after chemo round 3
ECson,
I had six rounds of cisplatin, epirubicin, and 5 FU. After my third round my oncologist did a scan to evaluate the first three rounds. As Bill stated above, it is a good thing that your Dad's oncologist is checking on the progress of his initial treatments rather than waiting until the whole cycle of chemo is completed.
