Im a 21 year old cancer survivor and my doctor has never said anything to me about hpv

My Dr. Never even brought up the possibility of hpv. He only told me my type of cancer is common in Asia. I'm 21 so it seems like hpv should have been mentioned. He only said a virus may have caused it. can anyone offer more insight.
