How fast does this spread??

in Esophageal Cancer #1
Ok guys. Tim has been hospice care since November and although takes no food by mouth we have rcvd nourishment via j tube. Yesterday tube clogged myself and nurse tried many attempts to unclog including coke, nothing has worked. Nurse called last night to check and says it is probably because cancer has spread? I don't think that could be as he fed just the night before. J tube surgery was done 10/31 so he has only had it not even 2 mos. Your feedback would be very much appreciated. It is very challenging for me to remain calm at this point. Since Tim takes no food by mouth and nurse said we would probably have to let nature take it's course. Tim does not take food by mouth because he has no appetite or desire not because of an obstruction. Oh yeah we know that cancer has spread to liver for sure and that there is fluid around abdominal area

    Lee had a couple pretty bad clogs in his gj tube... He had to go in to the hospital to get it unclogged. At that time they gave us some tablets to use. They worked like a charm, way more effective than coke, warm water or any other thing we tried. These tablets do not seem to be available in pharmacies, but your cancer centre should have them.... They were very inexpensive, I think it was about $2 for about 20 of them.

    You will find that the people here are incredible about sharing their knowledge. That info was hard gained, believe me. Anything we can do to make your road easier is very worthwhile. Got to get some good from the bad of EC, right? :)
