Had my MEI surgery Dec 12 and came home on Dec 18. Had a 2nd surgery on Dec 13 to remove a pesky spleen, according to Doctors! Doing pretty good but have lots of questions about the intake of food by mouth and how much stays down and if the amounts I am taking are normal. Some things stay down for a good while others not and seems to be no consistency as to what and how long. I dislike this tethered thing during the night, but have been able to rest pretty well just in the last few days. Other days, either to many cat naps or just plain insomnia! I will write more specific questions tomorrow. Not having lots of luck with the laptop.
Wishing you all a very Happy New Yearand many Healthy Blessings too!

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to tell you all that I have been reading this forum since early Sept, I was diagnoised in Aug 2011, late stage 2. I have found all the info very helpful and have so much respect for what you all have endured and continue to deal with. I will be going in for my modified IL next Monday. I am excited to finally have the day in sight and anxious also as I know now from what I've read that the real work is just ahead. I sailed thru my rad and chemo, working thru it for the 5 weeks and did very well. My surgery was originally scheduled for 11/11/11. A good luck day I thought, but one of the surgeons hurt his hand and it had to be delayed. I have a good support team, my family, and a really good mental outlook on things so I know that helps alot.
Anyway, Kudos to all of you who are makeing it thru each day. Double Kudos for the caregivers, I've been one and it's not an easy job, you are the angels for each of us.
I have been praying for you all. I'll be checking in later next week, once I'm up to it, to continue my journey with you. Thank you all for your insight and wisdom and the willingness to share your story.

So glad you sailed thru rad and chemo - that's encouraging for those who haven't gotten that far yet.

Stay strong and we'll talk with you soon.

Congratulations on an easy ride so far
    Hello & "Welcome" Judy!

You are very blessed to have had an "easy go" of it so far. I hope it continues that way for you. My husband's surgeon told him that surgery was easy after chemo & rads. He was right to a point :) It is easier than having to drag yourself to another rad treatment or face another infusion.

Nick is now 12 weeks past surgery and about to have his 1st follow up CT. He's been doc's poster boy for a successful treatment and surgery. We are praying that continues. :) I hope you are so lucky as well.

Please keep us posted on your progress! Let your family and friends know we are here for them also.
