Great to hear this news from you- another success story in the midwest. You, Greg and your wives still celebrating the World Series? This NED must be the icing on the cake for one heckuva great year for you, and Greg, and your families. Oh yeah. And were all the negatives of C tx worth it? I gotta hunch you and Greg might be the happiest people on the entire ACS website, and it truly is very cool to say that for you two. Congratulations.

    HAPPY PEOPLE
Hi Kent, I do feel very fortunate to not only have found someone local who can understand what I am going through, but it has also turned into a real friendship. It turns out we live only 10-15 mins. from each other and Greg's wife and my wife are both Nurses who also work forthe same Healthcare Consortium. "too wierd" but so far we have had some fun together.

Kent, my best to you and your family for a joyous Christmas Season.

    Congrats,Mike!
I think you are hitting the nail on the head regarding slowing down. I grew up in a large family where you ate fast or you might not get seconds (to say nothing of how the Air Force encouraged piling it on and stuffing it down in record time:)).

Aspiration can lead to a number of problems including false reading, infections, unwanted liquid in the lungs, and many things I'm not even aware of, I'm sure.

Slowing down helps a lot, as does ingesting smaller portions; not EATING smaller portions, but taking smaller bites, smaller sips. It is not necessary to finish as or before your dinner guests do: do what is best for you. And for those of us who are eating TOO slow, do not forget the doggie bag option. There is no harm in taking food home for another go at the next day or so.

Good luck with your continuing recovery and the introduction to Ned, Mike.

    Take care,

    Joe

    My ears were burning
    Hey Mike

Already offered my congrats earlier to you, but thought I'd do it here officially. Congrats Bro'!! And as you said, it's great to have friends from this site we can meet with. (Side note: Mike mentioned our wives had a lot in common and that we lived close to one another. He didn't say we both work in the same field and grew up within a mile of each other and went to the same high school - weird. Since we are both HPV+ maybe we ought to compare notes on who we dated back then????).

Kent, It has been a good year and not just with the Cards winning. Glad to see so many NEDs here and that you are doing well! (Since Albert has left us, maybe the Cubbies will have a shot at us - you up for a trip to STL for a Cub/Cards game next year with me and Mike??)

And Skif you're probably right about me giving Mike indigestion - wouldn't be the first time. I do lurk here occassionally but mainly just to check to see what kind of "fish tales" you make up.....I mean talk about (photoshop works great on inserting those big fish in photos - lol).

    My best to everyone!

    Greg
