Just a quick note to wish Donna (Donna70) a happy second anniversary as a Cancer Survivor. Two years ago today; Donna had Ivor Lewis surgery to remove her cancer.

Happy Anniversary Donna!!!

I know it was a battle with post surgery complications, post surgery chemotherapy, and breathing, eating, and vocal cord issues. But here we are today, two years later.

Best Wishes on your Anniversary!!!!!

    Thanks so much Paul!!
    Hi Paul,
Thanks so much and you just had your 2 yr anniversary. I am beyond happy and just wish the outcome was like this for everyone. So there is some survivor guilt mixed in. My hubby just had some minor surgery and I was able to do for him what he has done for me. Paul I know you are making really great use of your time that our dear Lord has given you and I am trying my best to do that too. But for anyone out there who is hesitant about the treatment and surgery, MIE or Ivor Lewis, please do not hesitate. Whatever you may go thru it is so worth it. Watching my grands grow up and each moment with my hubby and family are just priceless and so much more. Thanks many times to the support on this board and from my family and friends. I will be in church today just like last year for a Catholic feast, Immaculate Conception, and I will be thanking God for this second chance. How lucky am I. Thanks again Paul, many good wishes to you.

    Congratulations to Donna and Paul
Thank you for posting this happy day!!! May you both and many others have the same privilege for years to come.

You, both, are correct. It is one demanding journey to travel, but when you get through all the reconstruction sites and detours, the journey continues on to days filled with thankfulness and humbleness. Every day is a blessing.

Happy 2 year birthday to both Donna & Paul
With my husband and others from the former "Junior" class now standing tall as graduates, we take great encouragement from you alumni "upper classmen". I love your NED news because that makes every one of our days brighter as well.

My husband echos you, Donna. Surgery is so definitely the right thing when you have the option. Can there really be any choice?

Congratulations again to you both! Keep showing us former "newbies" the way. We will gladly follow in NED footsteps!

    Love & Hugs,

    Terry

    Thanks to all of you!!
Just want to say thanks to all of you for the good wishes for Paul and myself. I stop and listen everytime the American Cancer Society has the ad on where someone sings Happy Birthday to the cancer survivors. Birthdays mean so much to us, not just our own, but to be there for all of our loved ones. You all inspire me and I have been so touched by the struggles of our fellow EC patients but also the caregivers who go so far to help their loved ones. Mr. Marshall gave me my first ray of hope on this board so a special thank you to you, Bill, for telling me your survival story so I could hold on to that hope as I traveled the rocky road of EC. Everyday I offer up many prayers for everyone here, just hoping for better days and less pain. thanks again,
