just spent $4350 on ctc test, anyone else done this
google genotics and ctc and cancer if your interested in these tests.
if they find and culture ctc's they will test against all chemos and biologicals.
i get the results just before christmas.
here is hoping!!!!!!!!!!
anyone else do ctc analysis.
i asked my onc, she said save your money for the kids.
today i realised i would rather give them a live father than a few bucks.
i lost a dear friend today to stage 4 breast cancer, she was clear 12 years.
just %@%^@*# cancer, i am going to kill this disease or die trying.
sorry to be so emotional, i get this way when threatened. my stage 4 scare, and this newest unexpected death has really pushed me.
I also am planning iv vit c go get my wbc and lymphocytes back to a healthy level.
I got a little reaction to iscador today at 17ml. I am still here.
The guru doctor confirmed tumeric over aspirin, but I will do both as well cimetidine.
he was impressed at my inr given the 16grams a day i am taking.
i hope everyone has a great day, I am. My blood sample is flying first class to greece for the ctc test.
I see the doctor 27th december to get the ctc results and refine and target my protocol.
then I can replace my brufe force approach with a somewhat more elagant protocol.
I also made friends today with a pharmacist who had stage3 colon cancer, he idtched chemo. went to germany and had a vacine made. I am meeting him saturday. I only met him because I was trying to help others in our local cancer support group source apatone ( vitc and k3) at cheaper levels. he said he would do it at near cost for our group. and also give me my melatonin at near cost as well. he is going to give me a copy of his ctc results so I can compare mine.
A sad but very productive day in the war on terror. goto run and go see my chinese medicine oncologist. met another tcm doctor last night and my qigong class. she went to a conference a few weekends ago. my tcm oncologist was the speaker on cancer at the conference. its a very small world when you are out making a difference.
hugs,
pete

Hi Pete
I had CTC tests done
Hi Pete
I had CTC tests done (saw Dr Fluhrer at Monavale, Sydney) in April, only took 10 days to get results. Found it awesome, it told me 4 chemo agents that will work (am on 2 of them) and 3 botanical agents that indicated cell death when applied to the stem cells. These are Chinese Wormwood, Quercetain and Bindweed. I take these every day (buy them online in the US). Also showed some benefit with Vit C but not huge. It was a great help narrow down all the other botanical options out there. My CTC count was 4.2 in April.
Interesting to find out what you report says, keep us posted
cheers

muz,
this is a big gamble and expensive for me.
i am just glad to hear from you, your story is so positive.
its great to have someone from sydney on the board.
would like to catcup one day.
gawler is fantastic, i am glad you enjoyed it.
i'll post the results. the path least travelled i hope is much longer and more enjoyable than the path most travelled.
thanks for this reply, you cannot know how much it means to me. i have the threat of stage 4 knocking at my door.

east meets greece, and frustrated about ctc test
i am sending my stage 3 and sage 4 tcm packets to greece to be tested against my colorectal
tumour ctcs.
now would it be great if i have low ctc's or no ctc's and then if they culture my tumour and say they find that my tcm was effective against it. i would have to take henry out to lunch at least.
it may not be tcm, it maybe another chinese herb see muz result above.
i am doing my bit for science, it costs $200 for each extra sample to test.
if i find the cure for my crc, then i'll share it here.
those chinese herbs are looking better than ever, its a shame they taste so yummy.
i am so glad i have done this test, my blood is flying first class to greece right now. yippeee!!!!!!
i called the lab technicians in greece last night and asked them about testing my herbs.
i am really frustrated in genostics and the greece lab at this point because they don't understand my needs as a customer, i guess they own an exclusive francise and have little motivation to offer service. I could not even discuss the issues properly, i was fobbed off. i am a pretty easy going loving guy, and i am happy to go the extra mile. i want the people supporting me to do the same.
they did push the testing and collection through, so i did get good service. and i got excellent explanations from doctor fulrer.
i just paid them and really wanted the chinese herbal mix i have been using tested for effaciacy against my ctc.
last night i left the herbs at their office. i drove for an extra two hours return to deliver my newest herbs, after i had a meeting with tcm oncologist. all they had to do was send the herbs to the lab in greece. any lab assistant can make the herbs, and they would be fresh. now i have to make the mix and they will send the viles to greece. but i doubt this will work due to the time delay of making the herbs and then testing.
ideally i wanted the herbs brewed when my tumours cells had been cultured.
anyway another two hour trip and i have to boil the herbs. and leave the prepared mix.
that mix will be shipped to greece monday.
i am a bit desperate so i cannot complain, they did not seem interested at all. its an advertised service two get extra botanicals tested against your tumour
i am a pain in the butt for these guys, but why not get the most out of this expensive test.

CTC analysis and
Thanks Pete
CTC analysis and recommendations have definately been helpful for me. At time of diagnosis end of March this year, I already had Stage 4 CRC with mets to liver and lungs... without knowing anything about it. So the CTC analysis is one of the tools in our kit which had been money well spent even though it is a lot of $$$
Good luck with your results and a great idea to send your herbs over to Greece to get them checked out.
Keep in touch mate.
cheers

Hello Rhondabedellrl said:Ctc/molecular test
Hey,
Can anyone tell me where they obtained the kit for the CTC and molecular testing? I believe the company is RGCC but I haven't been able to get an email response from them to obtain a kit for the testing.
Thanks,
Rhonda
I'm not sure if anyone else can tell you, but Pete is really lost at sea now, as he passed away earlier this year and won't be able to help you.

Good Ole Pete
Pete was a person that would venture at any cost. He spent money like water on testing and fads. Unfortunately Pete is deceased. It would be good to start another post to add your comment. Hope you do as maybe some will be able to help you in your question. I'm sorry but I'm not able to help.

I am new to this website and I have been perusing the comments this morning. So sorry to see that the gentleman Pete has died. He certainly tried his best to help himself. I have tried many supplements myself that haven’t made much of a difference. I’ve been battling this disease now for over five years. I do what the doctors advise since they know much more than I do and I trust in God. I pray the Rosary and try to attend Mass daily. Despite ominous signs a few months ago that I was in serious trouble, the cancer has stabilized. My oncologist told me my case is unusual. I attribute that to the good Lord who is giving me what I asked for, either a healing or more time. Who knows what the future holds. In the end, it’s all in God’s hands. My many months of stress and anxiety over something I cannot control are over. That is a blessing alone.

We had blood sent to Greece and the tests arranged by our naturopath - Dr. James Belanger in Boston. Dr. Allibone in Houston also orders the tests. Either keep trying to reach RGCC or maybe you can find someone to facilitate.

My sister recommended Dr. Belanger (he's in Lexington but anyone outside of MA calls that Boston). I have not contacted him as things have been a whirlwind in my life. Could you provide a summary of how he's helped you out?

He's helped us a lot in many ways. We do blood draws for labs for detailed tracking of growth factors, cytokines, immune cells/factors - covers more than our standard labs with the oncologist. These direct his advice for supplements to support the immune system, reduce growth factors, and break down the walls around the tumors. Chen Pi is a Chinese herb that has been working well right now. We also consult with him regarding treatment decisions from our oncologist (last cycle the onc wanted to switch treatment but Dr. Belanger helped us decide to stick with treatment and last scan was a good one). My wife also has Crohn's so that adds another layer to factor into all of these decisions, especially her diet.

For labs, do you have to go down to Lexington or does he use your local hospital or other lab services?

We use Labcorp. For any tests that need to be shipped just be aware of the timing. Fedex/UPS can be an hour or two late on delivery and miss the receiving labs cutoff to run the test that week. Not a fun reason for another blood draw.
