Tinny Taste

in Head and Neck Cancer #1
Has anyone expierenced a tinny or metalic taste in their mouth? I get a weekly carboplatin infusion and have finished 21 of 39 rad treatments so far. I get this taste without eating or drinking anything.

    Ahhh - Memories!
    Yes Linda, My mouth tasted like I was sucking on pennies for a while during my treatment! Wow, I almost forgot about that one! Thankfully, that too shall pass! Thanks for the memory! Your are almost there 21 of 39! Stay strong!

    Yes
    I still have that to some degree. I still use plastic spoons and forks at home.

    I get an overpowering taste, to me it is salty. Even when I drink icewater, it's like drinking the ocean. It improves 2 weeks after the infusion, but is never completely gone.
