I need the bus...Please
Short recap...triple negative..lumpectomy, chemo and rads in 2009....negative nodes, stage IIa grade 3.....noticed a "lump" on my neck this past June...That sucker came up overnight!...of course I found it on a late, Friday, afternoon...saw my oncologist on Monday...BOOM! It's back...in my lymph nodes...so much for having clean nodes when they were checked at the time of my lumpectomy! Was accepted into a clinical trial by Sloan Kettering..an oral chemo...took two cycles (second, upped dosage) put me down for 10 days...it didn't work...so then plan B...back to radiation and oral chemo, Xeloda,, both, 5 days a week for 5 1/2 weeks...double whammy, Been on Xeloda for about 5 months now..on 7 days, off 7 days...the Xeloda has been a breeze, for ME.....thankfully.......now we'll learn how effective it's been at keeping my stage IV at bay.......last scans in July showed it "only" in my lymph nodes...no major organs...but we know, again, how sneaky those lymph nodes can be......if it hasn't done the job, I will most likely end up, back on IV chemo...ugh!
So....that's where I'm at.....so may I have the bus, please...make all the noise you can! And I ask for your prayers..I'm digging deep for strength!
Hugs, Nancy

Nancy I too will be on that bus, bringing all the good vibew, prayers and hot cocoa I can muster! Your cancer journey is so similar to mine as mine returned in the sentinel node in my chest after 6 months of treatment. It is survivable as I am still here some 12 years later. Please let us know how it goes, you are in my thoughts and prayers!0 -

I've got some pumpkin dip, just for a change, and of course the pink ribbon rubber bands. We'll blast anyone that gives you a hard time, including those pesky nodes. Sending prayers, especially for peace and positive outcomes.0 -

It might be good to change the silly string to red and green for Christmas....but I am not doing it, still hot pink and still on anybody looking crabby. Got to stay focused here.
Thoughts and prayers with you, hoping that the chemo has been working,
Jennifer
As in tomorrow? Ok. I'm on board. I've developed a sweet tooth lately, and since it's morning, I'll bring donuts.
